Engineering Technologist

Our client is an industry leader with over 60 years of experience delivering high-quality packaged equipment, pressure vessels, and piping solutions for oil and gas production, heavy oil processing, and refinery operations. Serving both domestic and international markets, they combine an experienced team with a state-of-the-art 84,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility in Calgary to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions.

Position Summary

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a skilled Engineering Technologist to join their team. In this role, you will provide process engineering and technical support across a wide range of oil and gas projects. You will be involved in all stages of project execution, from initial quotations and design through fabrication, testing, final delivery, invoicing, and guarantee administration-ensuring quality and value for clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and support efficient process designs for oil and gas applications, including dehydration, separation, metering, and pumping systems.
• Utilize process simulation software such as VMGSim (experience is an asset).
• Perform equipment and system sizing, including piping, separation vessels, pumps, heat exchangers, control valves, and pressure safety valves (PSVs).
• Review engineering deliverables to confirm compliance with project scope and resolve technical design or equipment issues.
• Support project execution by tracking progress from design through fabrication and delivery, reviewing drawings, and implementing required design changes.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and third‑party engineering firms to deliver complete engineering solutions.
• Comply with all safety policies and the company's code of ethics.
