We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Technology to join our team in Toronto. As the Director of Technology, you will be responsible for leading the technology strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful implementation of technology solutions across the organization.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute the technology strategy, aligning it with the overall business objectives of Mani Wonders Inc.
  • Lead the technology team and provide guidance, mentoring, and coaching to foster professional growth and high performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and operations, to identify technology needs and opportunities.
  • Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies, assessing their potential impact, and making recommendations for their adoption.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of technology solutions, ensuring they meet quality standards and business requirements.
  • Manage technology budgets, resources, and vendors, optimizing costs and ensuring efficient utilization of technology resources.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with technology partners, vendors, and industry experts to leverage external expertise.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance technology capabilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize technology initiatives based on business needs and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance requirements are met through the implementation of robust technology measures.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the executive team on technology investments and initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration within the technology team and across the organization.
  • Lead and participate in technical discussions, ensuring alignment with business goals and fostering knowledge sharing.
  • Monitor and evaluate technology performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Act as a technology evangelist, representing Mani Wonders Inc. in industry events, conferences, and forums.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Proven experience as a technology leader, with a track record of successfully driving technology strategy and innovation.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in software development, infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Deep understanding of technology trends, best practices, and industry standards.
  • Experience in project management and the ability to drive and manage technology initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in the engineering / ecommerce industry or a related field is highly desirable.
