The Saskatchewan Health Authority offers a variety of full time, part time and casual positions as a general duty MRT or a MRT Specialty.

A Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) is a health-care professional that provides a variety of medical diagnostic imaging services that assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

MRT's perform and assist in exams in general x-ray, Computed Tomography (CT) scan, breast imaging, operating room and other specialized procedures.

MRT Specialty disciplines include Mammography, Angiography, CT.

Medical Radiation Technologists (MRT) work in hospital and clinical settings throughout the province with the SHA as part of a multidisciplinary health-care team in order to provide the best patient care.

MRT's work in emergency departments, operating rooms, imaging departments and medical clinics. MRTs work in shifts in order to provide health-care coverage based on the needs of the facility or clinic and this may include days, nights, and weekends.

Opportunities to grow as a MRT include taking advanced courses to work in specialized areas and pursuing management and leadership positions.

Qualifications :

MRT- Diploma in Medical Radiologic Technology, registered with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists and the Saskatchewan Association of Medical Radiation Technologists.

MRT Specialty- Mammography or Angiography or Computerized Tomography training / certificate, as required.

Experience :

Clinical experience preferred, but new or anticipated graduates are encouraged to apply.

For a MRT Specialty position previous experience is preferred in twenty-four (24) months previous experience as a general duty Medical Radiation Technologist to consolidate knowledge and skills.

Competitive wages - $38.07 to $40.77 (3 step range, Pay band 16)

Hiring incentives up to $10,000 plus relocation assistance up to $3,000
