We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer for our Calgary office.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be working within the E&IC group. You will have the opportunity to work on multi‑disciplined engineering projects, interfacing with mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineers. You will be active in the design of power systems, including medium‑voltage electrical equipment, motor control centres, low‑voltage distribution systems, lighting, hazardous‑location classification and design, and fire alarms. You will also supervise junior engineers or technicians, plan projects, and review subordinates’ work for technical accuracy.

What You Will Bring
An undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.Registered with APEGA as a Professional Engineer.Demonstrated 8+ years of experience in a multi‑discipline engineering setting.The ability to apply electrical engineering principles and techniques to provide electrical engineering and design services for a wide variety of industries and clients.Developing and reviewing single line diagrams, cable and conduit schedules, control panel layouts, conduit routing, heat tracing, motor power and control schematics, and field wiring.Developing plans and details for hazardous area classification, grounding, lighting, and fire alarm systems.Developing specifications for electrical equipment such as switchgear, motor control centres, and electrical backup systems.Applying industry codes, standards, and safeguards such as the CEC, IEC, NFPA and client company standards to designs.Experience in a multi‑discipline project setting and cross‑discipline coordination.Experience conducting field inspections and / or working with contractors.Project management experience is an asset.Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.Self‑starting and committed team player with the ability to work independently.Valid driver’s license.#J-18808-Ljbffr
