As a Process Engineer (Electroplating Surface Finishing) , you'll be responsible for driving compliance and production support activities for the site’s MRO electroplating operations as part of the Winnipeg Process Engineering Team, acting as a primary technical expert in electroplating (Cu, Ag, Cd, Ni, electroless Ni, hard chrome), brush plating, conversion coatings, and chemical stripping of steel and nickel alloy gas turbine engine components.

What You’ll do :

• Ensure plating process compliance with technical data, environmental and safety regulations, and internal quality requirements.
• Provide day-to-day production support and troubleshooting for plating operations.
• Provide training, mentoring, competency evaluations, and technical problem resolution for Plating Technicians.
• Write and review technical documentation including Engineering Reports, Company Procedures, and Work Instructions.
• Direct technical equipment troubleshooting activities and define equipment operational readiness.
• Work collaboratively with Operations, Production Engineering, Repair Development, and Project Teams to plan and perform component repair implementation.
• Investigate and initiate corrective actions for equipment or process issues.
• Participating in proactive risk analysis of flight / product safety critical parts and processes.
• Lead continuous improvement activities to reduce cost-of-poor-quality and turn-around-times for plating or finishing processes.
• Propose, research, and support cost benefit analysis for new equipment purchases.
• Support or lead the installation and commissioning of process equipment.
• Promote safety, best practices, and business improvement opportunities in chemical and surface finishing process areas.
