Application Support Analyst (Intermediate)

Position Description :

At CGI we are looking for an Application Support Analyst for our financial services client in Montreal.

Your future duties and responsibilities :

• Every morning when you open your workstation, you will have to carry out various tasks to ensure the stability of production.
• During the day, you will resolve functional and technical issues in a complex financial environment with diverse applications and architectures.
• You will work closely with development teams located in Paris.
• You will also need to produce progress reports and report on the status of your projects to clients and IT management.
• Finally, you will learn production support practices and improve your financial expertise with experienced professionals.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role :

Must have :

More than 2 years of experience as a production support analyst.

Experience working with relational databases.

Good communication skills.

Ability to solve complex problems and work in a multitasking environment.

Team spirit.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent work experience.

Nice to have :

Knowledge of programming (Python, Shell...).

Good knowledge of equity products and derivatives.

Good knowledge of basic business processes such as profit and loss, value at risk and risk analysis.

ITIL knowledge / certification.

FRM certification.

Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role requiring interactions with domestic and global clients.

The ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the individual in this position will be expected to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
