Position Description:
Join a high impact production support team at the heart of global financial markets. In this role, you will ensure the stability, performance, and availability of critical trading platforms used across Front, Middle, and Back Office teams. You will apply your technical expertise—especially in Java based application debugging—to resolve complex issues, manage high priority incidents, and contribute to continuous system improvement.
This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy solving real time production challenges, collaborating closely with traders and business users, and developing deep knowledge of financial products and systems.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Production Reliability & Incident Management
• Perform morning and end of day production checks to ensure system readiness ahead of global market openings.
• Handle real time production incidents (L2/L3), performing in depth troubleshooting across Java applications, SQL databases, middleware, and infrastructure components.
• Ensure timely incident escalation and communication to senior IT leaders and business stakeholders.
User Support & Collaboration
• Support front line users—including Sales, Traders, Loan Operations, and Middle/Back Office teams—with functional and technical inquiries.
• Manage and prioritize your ticket backlog using Unity, ensuring resolutions align with SLA severity levels.
Technical Troubleshooting & Analysis
• Investigate application failures using tools such as Kibana, Elasticsearch, Autosys, and Unix/Windows Server logs.
• Work with global teams (New York, Bangalore, Paris) on release management, incident follow ups, and system enhancements.
Reporting, Governance & Resilience
• Provide concise reporting on production health, key incidents, and system KPIs to IT management and business stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation for disaster recovery, ensuring DR activities are tested and validated twice yearly.
• Operate within regulatory and audit constraints, ensuring compliance across supported environments.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Technical Skills
• Strong troubleshooting skills in Java applications (ability to read logs, analyze stack traces, triage performance issues).
• Proficiency in SQL for debugging and data validation.
• Experience with:
o Kibana / Elasticsearch
o Autosys
o Unix & Windows Server environments
o LoanIQ and loan lifecycle processes (an asset)

• Clear and confident communication with both technical and non technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment where priorities shift rapidly.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, to collaborate effectively with global teams.
