Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled Instrument Technologist to join our team, specializing in the maintenance, repair, and calibration of high-speed printers and satellite controls equipment within a wire and cable facility.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in printer maintenance, mechanical and electrical aptitude, a meticulous approach to calibration procedures, and exceptional organizational skills to maintain thorough documentation of all equipment-related activities.
Responsibilities :
Responsible for systems including, but not limited to : GEM, Imaje and Hitachi printers, Zumbach and LaserMike, Clinton Sparkers, Proton Laser Counter.
Conduct precise calibration procedures on printers and satellite equipment to maintain accuracy and consistency in output quality.
Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and consumables, ensuring adequate supplies are available for maintenance tasks.
Must understand the operation of communication links associated with the on-line inkjet process and other satellite equipment.
Performs work on job site or in central repair area.##Complies with all prescribed safety regulations. ##Must be able to make repairs on the jobsite to minimize lost production.
Must act as primary contact for advanced troubleshooting involving control systems related to ink jet printing and other satellite equipment.
Responsible for maintaining sensitive and costly equipment and systems.##Performs backup and archive of critical data.
Provide training and technical support to end-users on printer operation, maintenance best practices, and troubleshooting procedures.
Must prioritize work assignments and be capable of self-direction. ##Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
Skills : ##Must have good working knowledge of on-line inkjet process.##Ability to troubleshoot and think independently. Mechanical and electrical aptitude and demonstrated skills.
Have knowledge of basic networking, computer and analytical skills. ##Very high degree of responsibility and can work independently without constant supervision.
Other Requirements : ##Must be a high school graduate or equivalent and have competed at least two years of technical training in electronics in a recognized electronics trade school or a minimum two years# experience with ink jet printers.
