Job Summary
The Development Coordinator is responsible for program implementation and coordination of development programs to nurture lifelong relationships with UBC donors, alumni, and students. The role participates in ongoing fundraising planning and supports fundraising initiatives aligned with UBC’s strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of new unit initiatives that advance UBC’s strategic plan.
- Ensure donor recognition, acknowledgement, and stewardship programs are in place.
- Maintain an expert understanding and use of UBC’s donor and alumni database.
- Participate in ongoing fundraising planning and practice and process development.
- Write donor / prospect solicitation materials and correspondence.
- Research and draft fundraising proposals for senior management.
- Develop analytical reports as requested.
- Process donor gifts, pledges, and receipts.
- Develop and maintain processes and procedures as needed.
- Accommodate flexible hours and attend events as required.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education.Minimum of 1 year of related experience or equivalent.Respect for diverse perspectives and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.Preferred Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to interact positively with staff, managers, and donors.Employment Type
