Year Apprentice Plumber to join our ATCO Facilities Solutions team in Edmonton AB working on a project with several properties across the Edmonton area.

The Apprentice Plumber is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance inspections modifications and installation / dismantling of plumbing systems. The successful candidate must be willing to work after hours and on weekends as required. Tools uniforms PPE work cellphone and a company vehicle will be provided for work duties.

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct timely inspections testing and accurate reporting of equipment defects and deficiencies
  • Replace toilets bathroom and kitchen sinks and bathtubs
  • Utilize power auger for toilet bathtub and main lines
  • Trouble shooting boiler systems
  • Ensure all installations repairs and maintenance are properly sized aligned supported and graded
  • Guaranteeing all installations repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes as well as environmental protection requirements
  • Rotating on call shifts are required

Qualifications :

  • Registered Plumber Apprenticeship is required and must be currently active
  • Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required
  • Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol Test Fit-to-Work Test and Extensive Background Check.
  • Must be able to obtain Government Security Clearance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to read drawings and blueprints
  • Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety
  • Experience in commercial construction an asset
  • Experience in service plumbing an asset
