YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS A MANUFACTURING PROCESS ENGINEER :

  • Assess and rework existing processes to align with evolving goals and business growth; maintain and ensure compliance with process control plans, quality assurance, and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot issues resulting in profit loss and develop strategic solutions.
  • Champion Lean and 5S practices, embedding them into company culture.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of mold making and foundry processes.
  • Remain active on the plant floor, assess designs, and walk the parts through initial runs.
  • Identify currently outsourced processes and create plans to adopt those processes internally.
  • WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN A MANUFACTURING PROCESS ENGINEER :

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience as a mechanical technologist or certified technician
  • 7+ years in manufacturing; foundry experience is a strong asset
  • In-depth knowledge of Lean and 5S principles
  • Strong understanding of quality control and inspection procedures
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software, MS Office, and MRP / ERP systems
  • Process-minded, able to see the big picture, and eager to continually learn
  • Ready to hit the ground running; can take high-level information and get to work independently, prioritizing improvement and perfecting processes
