What You'll Do :
- Work directly with a team of analysts, technologists, and geologists to provide quality geospatial support to Nutrien’s potash mining operations.
- Position offers lots of interaction with a diverse group of dynamic employees and has quick turn-around, high-value projects, giving exposure to many different technical applications.
- You will collect and analyze surface and in-mine geospatial data, and prepare reports on findings for technical staff.
- Assist with various duties, including :
- Collection of terrestrial LiDAR, RPAS photogrammetry, and GNSS survey data.
- Data analysis and quality control.
- Care and maintenance of sensitive equipment.
- Working with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) datasets.
- Assist in researching and piloting new geospatial technologies.
- Travel within Saskatchewan will be required.
- Work in underground potash mines and operating industrial facilities will be required.
- Some longer than normal workdays may be required.
What You'll Bring :
Must be currently enrolled and completed at least 2 years of a degree in Geophysics, Geology, Mining Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Geomatics Engineering at an accredited post-secondary institution AND returning to full-time studies after the work term.Superior interpersonal, organizational, communication, writing, and computer skills will be required.Mining experience would be considered an asset but is not necessary.A safety-focused mindset and willingness to learn on the job.Ready to make an impact with us?
