What will you do in this job?
An accounting position that reports to the Cash Control Supervisor and Guest Experience Managers.
Ensure proper compliance and audit standards are being met.
Ensure that all work is executed in a safe, professional manner in compliance with H&S and Viad Always
Honest Policy.
Retrieves, verifies, and reconciles cash, credit, and billing transactions.
Rectifies billing and payment errors.
Prepares and sends invoices and receipts to credit customers for all Pursuit attractions
Prepares deposits for pick up and submits applicable daily records to the accounting department.
Follows up with department managers to resolve any variances.
Prepare Food & Beverage tips for collection.
Replenish the Glory, cash machine as needed.
Ensure the petty cash float is balanced and proper record of receipts are kept.
Responsible for maintenance and cleaning of the Glory cash machine.
Responsible monthly floats count.
Trained to perform the duties of a guest experience agent as needed.
What skills and experience do you need for this job?
Extensive cash handling and some accounting experience
High attention to detail and accuracy in handling high volumes of cash ($CAD and $US), debit / credit
card, and billing transactions
Strong analytical, organization, problem solving, and time management skills
Proven leadership skills, maturity, and ability to work with minimal supervision
Proficiency with Excel, MS Word and Outlook; experience using RTP, or other computer ticketing systems
is advantageous
Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with local and international guests and
staff, affiliates and tour companies
