Job Summary
The Markham Museum is a 25-acre site with 32 modern and historical built structures. Our extensive demonstration gardens, orchards and landscape features complement the buildings and aid our interpretation of local history along the themes of settlement, and the use of technology to adapt to our changing environment. The Museum is host to 50,000 visitors annually, including booked programs, summer camps, special events and casual groups. We also host private rental events for weddings and corporate functions. This position assists with general and specialized maintenance throughout the property during our busy summer season. Daily duties will support externally booked events and our large summer camp program, in addition to overall stewardship of the facilities and gardens of the Museum for the enjoyment of general visitors. This is a full‑time student position with a variable schedule. Employees will be required to work some weekends and evenings.
