Full-time $70k - $75k +
Duties :
Completion of full cycle bookkeeping for clients, including :
o Prepare and maintain payroll and related government remittances / filings.
o Record payroll transactions in clients bookkeeping records.
o Recording expenses including those paid personally.
o Prepare Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) returns.
o Reconcile bank / cc / investment activity.
o Reconcile tax accounts (RC / RP / RT).
o Draft financial statements.
Tax preparation and support :
o Preparation of T4 and T5 Slips based on client’s annual tax plans.
o Preparation of T1 returns based on client’s individual tax plans.
o Preparation of T3 returns. o Preparation of T2 returns based on client’s annual tax plans.
o Prepare and file HST returns (quarterly and annually).
Client relations : o Supporting clients with CRA communications and document submissions.
o Filing of client’s tax documents in our electronic database.
o Assistance with documentation related to financial planning. Requirements :
- College / University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Two to three years accounting / finance / bookkeeping experience preferred is mandatory.
- Proficiency with CaseWare, Profile, QuickBooks Desktop and Online, and ADP or comparable payroll software.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Gmail, and Google suite apps.
