Technical Service Manager – Daikin Comfort

Responsibilities
- Provide reliable, prompt, and empathetic technical support to customers, resolving technical issues and supporting sales growth.
- Deliver technical expertise for product reliability investigations and proactively monitor early signs of quality issues through Voice of the Customer data.
- Complete field service reports via current software workflows with pertinent data to document field reported issues and ensure product integrity.
- Evaluate product installation and operation at customer sites using Daikin installation, service, and engineering manuals for validation.
- Support internal and external customers with Service Bulletin implementation and corrective action plans.
- Oversee warranty unit replacements and labor allowance dollars.
- Train and audit Independent Distributor trainers and technical managers when required.
- Participate in additional projects and activities to support ongoing business needs as assigned by Divisional leadership.
- Conduct technical training sessions for dealers and contractors on proper installation, startup, commissioning, service, and troubleshooting of Daikin products, focusing on targeted dealers with high failure rates to ensure product integrity.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of technical support experience.Minimum 1 year of technical training experience preferred.Public speaking and excellent customer service, relationship management, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office365 (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Self‑motivated with attention to detail and strong work ethic.Ability to de‑escalate customer issues with a calm demeanor and problem‑solving skills.Excellent organizational, time, and project management skills.Remote troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve HVAC system issues via phone, email, or remote software tools with on‑site technicians or end‑users.Ability to prioritize and facilitate multiple projects at a high degree.Strong business and technical acumen.Experience & Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.HVAC training / certification required.Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Must be able to perform essential and additional responsibilities.Ability to climb ladders and lift 50 lbs.Travel as required depending on territory.Work within typical job site confines including attics, crawl spaces, and roof tops in challenging climates.Equal Employment Opportunity Statement
