Position : Account Manager- Lumber (Sales & Marketing).

Location : Remote.

Responsibilities :

  • Ensure optimal use of resources and application of corporate financial controls, while working to optimize the overall profitability of the Organization.
  • Assist in fostering positive Health and Safety culture.
  • Deliver required sales volumes and manage sales plans with the Lumber Division.
  • Negotiate pricing in line with agreed price authorization.
  • Negotiate and maintain annual contracts with key customers that maximize contribution margins.
  • Engage in regular communication with current and potential customers through email, phone calls, and in-person visits.
  • Develop and maintain the customer base and establish high-level relationships with their accounts, in accordance with group guidelines.
  • Oversee customer service by coordinating with logistics and supply teams to ensure customers’ demands are being successfully met.
  • Resolve complaints in a timely manner to minimize costs.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of marketing and promotional material.
  • Identify competitive advantages and leverage those to increase margins.
  • Assist in establishing credit and managing accounts receivables.
  • Assist in improvement of customer service and other internal procedures.
  • Assist in the forecasting of short-term and medium-term sales opportunities.
  • Manage inventory levels through contract opportunities and spot sales to ensure inventory targets are achieved.
  • Collect information related to regional issues and trends to allow the division to take appropriate action to ensure short and long-term positioning within the region and accounts.
  • Support the development of quarterly forecasts, annual Marketing and Sales budgets and 5-year plans.
  • Identify customer needs and translate them into value-added propositions, which increase sales.
  • Prepare and distribute sales administrative reports in a timely manner to ensure robust cross departmental communication.
  • Operate within sales expense guidelines.
  • Advise and / or recommend changes or opportunities, outside of your direct area of accountability that will contribute to optimizing the short and long-term growth objectives of the division.
  • Build positive and productive relations within the departments and with all customers, both
  • current and prospective. Fosters collaboration and trust across department lines.

  • Adapt quickly to constantly changing circumstances in a highly dynamic role.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
  • Requirements :

  • Degree from an accredited college and / or University with a preference on a business degree.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in sales, business development, account management and / or customer service - Required.
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is preferred. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, customer service, logistics, sales and marketing procedures, finance and accounting principles as it pertains to KPI’s and P&L analysis and order flow management is essential.
  • Knowledge of international culture and business practices.
  • Bilingual : Proficiency in both French and English an asset (preferred not required).
  • Proficiency with computer software such as Microsoft Office, Excel, & PowerPoint. - Required.
  • Occasional travel within North America - Required.
  • Valid Passport - Required.
  • Valid Driver’s License - Required.

  • Responsabilités :

  • Veiller à l'utilisation optimale des ressources et à l'application des contrôles financiers de l'entreprise, tout en s'efforçant d'optimiser la rentabilité globale de l'organisation.
  • Contribuer à promouvoir une culture positive en matière de santé et de sécurité.
  • Réaliser les volumes de vente requis et gérer les plans de vente avec la division Bois.
  • Négocier les prix conformément à l'autorisation de prix convenue.
  • Négocier et maintenir des contrats annuels avec des clients clés qui maximisent les marges de contribution.
  • Communiquer régulièrement avec les clients actuels et potentiels par courrier électronique, appels téléphoniques et visites en personne.
  • Développer et entretenir la base de clients et établir des relations de haut niveau avec leurs comptes, conformément aux lignes directrices du groupe.
  • Superviser le service à la clientèle en assurant la coordination avec les équipes chargées de la logistique et de l'approvisionnement afin de veiller à ce que les demandes des clients soient satisfaites.
  • Résoudre les plaintes en temps opportun afin de minimiser les coûts.
  • Aider à la planification et à la préparation du matériel de marketing et de promotion.
  • Identifier les avantages concurrentiels et les exploiter pour augmenter les marges.
  • Aider à l'établissement du crédit et à la gestion des comptes débiteurs.
  • Contribuer à l'amélioration du service à la clientèle et d'autres procédures internes.
  • Contribuer à la prévision des opportunités de vente à court et à moyen terme.
  • Gérer les niveaux de stocks par le biais d'opportunités contractuelles et de ventes ponctuelles afin de s'assurer que les objectifs en matière de stocks sont atteints.
  • Recueillir des informations sur les questions et les tendances régionales afin de permettre à la division de prendre les mesures appropriées pour assurer un positionnement à court et à long terme dans la région et sur les comptes.
  • Contribuer à l'élaboration des prévisions trimestrielles, des budgets annuels de marketing et de vente et des plans quinquennaux.
  • Identifier les besoins des clients et les traduire en propositions à valeur ajoutée qui augmentent les ventes.
  • Préparer et distribuer des rapports administratifs sur les ventes en temps opportun afin d'assurer une bonne communication entre les départements.
  • Respecter les lignes directrices en matière de frais de vente.
  • Conseiller et / ou recommander des changements ou des opportunités, en dehors de son domaine de responsabilité direct, qui contribueront à optimiser les objectifs de croissance à court et à long terme de la division.
  • Établir des relations positives et productives au sein des départements et avec tous les clients, actuels et potentiels.
  • Favoriser la collaboration et la confiance entre les différents services.
  • S'adapter rapidement à des circonstances en constante évolution dans un rôle très dynamique.

  • Exigences :

  • Diplôme d'un établissement d'enseignement supérieur et / ou d'une université accrédités, avec une préférence pour un diplôme en gestion d'entreprise.
  • Au moins 3 à 5 ans d'expérience dans la vente, le développement commercial, la gestion de comptes et / ou le service à la clientèle - requis.
  • Une expérience dans un environnement de fabrication industrielle est préférable.
  • La connaissance des processus de fabrication, du service à la clientèle, de la logistique, des procédures de vente et de marketing, des principes financiers et comptables en ce qui concerne les indicateurs clés de performance, l'analyse des résultats et la gestion des flux de commandes est essentielle.
  • Connaissance de la culture et des pratiques commerciales internationales.
  • Bilinguisme : la maîtrise du français et de l'anglais est un atout (préférable mais non obligatoire).
  • Maîtrise des logiciels informatiques tels que Microsoft Office, Excel et PowerPoint. - Requis.
  • Déplacements occasionnels en Amérique du Nord - requis.
