Hays Specialist Recruitment has teamed up with an investment banking organization in Montreal, QB. My client is seeking an Operational Risk Manager for a permanent job opportunity.
You will work full-time on a hybrid basis.Your new roleYou will work closely with the Canadian 1LoD under their responsibility / scope to ensure that :
- Supplier Assignment Incidents and losses are accounted for with the applicable tool, escalated, and control gaps are identified.
- Key Risk Metrics are in place and appropriately measured.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Periodic coordination also with the Head-Office for management or oversight of local indicators
- Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) periodically prepare, review, and challenge the 1LoD who are the owners of their RCSA and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Reporting of key processes, related key risks, and associated key controls.
What you'll need to succeed
- 5+ years of experience, knows and understands Corporate Investment Banking(CIB) well.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience dealing with regulators, and the ability to lead and drive change for effective operational risk management.
- Understanding of processes, risks, and related controls within Middle Office / Back Office functions and related support functions
