Material Testing Technician Student

Inline Group Inc. has opportunities available for Materials Technician Students starting Spring 2026. In this role, you’ll support materials testing and quality assurance activities— including soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt— in the field and / or laboratory across a variety of industrial and civil projects throughout Canada.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Field & Laboratory Testing – Conduct quality control and assurance testing on construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Sampling & Inspection – Prepare and collect representative samples for laboratory analysis and monitor material placement and workmanship on construction projects.
• Quality Monitoring – Identify and report any non-conformance issues or deviations to management promptly.
• Safety Leadership – Participate actively in Inline’s corporate and client HSE programs, promoting safe work practices and leading by example in the field and lab.
• Equipment Maintenance – Maintain, clean, and calibrate materials testing equipment and ensure vehicles are kept in good working order.
• Collaboration & Communication – Work closely with supervisors, clients, and team members to support project delivery and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Documentation & Reporting – Accurately record field data, testing results, and observations in compliance with quality control standards and Inline’s ISO 9001 Quality Program.
• Continuous Learning – Take initiative to develop your technical skills and understanding of materials testing processes through on-the-job training and mentorship.
