HandyDART Driver - Victoria

Transdev Canada is seeking dedicated and compassionate casual HandyDART Bus Drivers to join our Victoria team.

As a HandyDART Driver, you will provide essential transportation services for individuals with disabilities and mobility challenges, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. Base pay range

CA$28.24 / hr - CA$31.08 / hr

Your Role

• Provide safe and courteous door-to-door service to passengers driving our cutaway-style buses.
• Assist passengers with boarding, securing mobility devices, and disembarking using appropriate on-board restraints for wheelchairs and other mobility aids.
• Comply with all traffic regulations, company Safety & Health regulations, and accessible transportation standards.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules, making stops at designated locations to ensure passengers' timely arrival at their destinations.
• Provide a safe, respectful, and empathetic environment for passengers, addressing their specific needs and concerns.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any defects or maintenance issues to the maintenance team.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance and demeanor.
