AMD’s Adaptive Embedded Compute Group (AECG) builds products that blend powerful, energy‑efficient processors, advanced neural engines, graphics processors, and adaptive embedded compute with programmable logic to deliver edge computing solutions. From autonomous vehicles and industrial robotics to smart healthcare devices, AECG is redefining intelligent edge computing.

The Person

AECG is searching for an experienced Software and AI x86 Solution Planner to deliver customer‑focused solutions for the next generation of embedded x86 silicon products. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, driving innovation and new technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with silicon planning and architecture teams to define silicon features and software stacks for the next generation of AI‑enabled x86 solutions.
• Collaborate with market segment architects and business leads to create customer‑focused x86 solutions for Aerospace, Automotive, Medical, Robotics, Industrial, and Vision markets.
• Work closely with software engineering and product planning teams to define all aspects of the embedded software stacks, including :
• BIOS, firmware, debug, and diagnostic tools.
• Operating support such as Yocto, Ubuntu, QNX, Windows, and Android OS.
• Hypervisors such as Xen and QVM.
• ROCm and Ryzen AI software support for iGPU and NPUs.
• Specialized application stacks such as AMD’s Virtualized Automotive Stack (VIS), Robot Operating System (ROS), Multimedia Analytics, AI models, VLMs, and LLMs.
• Work with product marketing and engineering teams to prioritize and align software and solution deliverables during release planning.
• Present solution progress updates to executives and deliver solution, silicon, and customer application presentations to internal marketing and engineering teams.
