The has partnered with our client, it is one of the largest manufacturers of interconnect products in the world. We design, manufacture and market electrical, electronic and fiber optic connectors, coaxial and flat-ribbon cable, and interconnect systems.
The primary end markets for their products are communications and information processing markets, including cable television, cellular telephone and data communication and information processing systems;
aerospace and military electronics; and automotive, rail and other transportation and industrial applications.
What you will be doing
As the new ERP Solution Architect, you will report to the Senior Manager, ERP and play as a key business relationship partner between IT and the lines of business to ensure proper governance of Global ERP system.
You will orchestrate cross-functional teams, navigate diverse cultural landscapes, and tailor ERP configurations to meet site-specific requirements while upholding system integrity.
Your expertise in supply chain integration, regulatory compliance, and data security will be instrumental in driving operational excellence.
Additionally, your role encompasses continuous improvement initiatives, where you will proactively identify opportunities to enhance ERP functionalities and stay abreast of industry’s best practices.
Practically speaking you will :
- Triage system issues, manage changes / requests addressing design impacts to system development strategies
- Serve as the key liaison to the business community to ensure stakeholder needs are well understood and met by the sustainment support and project delivery teams
- Directly lead solutioning of complex issues in conjunction with trusted vendor partners
- Partner to proactively manage risk and escalate issues as needed
- Continuously build and develop a high performing Enterprise Architecture practice
- Manage, coach and mentor global ERP support team members
- Support business partners with analysis activities, requirements gathering and solution development to ensure business capability integrity is agreed to.
May serve as an objective challenger to solution proposals to ensure high quality solutions are realized for business partners and customers
- Work with business leaders and technical architects to explore and define how the proposed solutions will fit into the overall enterprise architecture (both business and technology)
- Assist in defining industry, marketplace and best practice opportunities that align with line of business and functional area strategies, focusing specifically on projects and enhancements that maximize the company's competitive performance
- Develop and define the performance goals / SLA, KPIs and key milestones for the proposed solutions
- Participate in the acquisition of information and provide expertise to inform forward looking capability strategies and innovation
- Lead and participate as a deep technical expert in Architecture review boards, approving architectural decisions made on programs and projects
- Contribute to the design and implementation of standardized applications to support global requirements, ensuring stakeholder specifications are well understood, and system support capabilities are clearly defined.
- Develop new technology capabilities as new systems are designed and brought on board to build improved stakeholder functionality
- Maintain awareness of technology product developments, monitoring impacts of improvements / modifications to IT design and development plans and outputs
- Design integration solutions and produce all design phase deliverables including technical design documents, process flow diagrams, data transformation, mappings, routing, event diagrams, etc.
- Determine programming interfaces and how data flows and processes fit together within the systems architecture
- Develop policies, standards and processes to identify and manage data and services across systems and applications, ensuring appropriate data and service nomenclatures and definitions are consistently applied
The Details
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Markham, Ontario. The position requires international travel approximately once every two months.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years academic degree (bachelor or similar).
- 10+ years’ experience with ERP functional design & information architecture
- Experience with minimum 3 full lifecycle ERP implementation and configuration
- 5+ years’ working to managing support for ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, QAD)
- Experience managing software service vendors
- Experience managing system support specialist
- Preference for ITIL certification
- Preference for experience with big 4 consulting companies
