ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill and Experience)
- Current Certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- BScN preferred.
- Current BCLS certificate.
- A minimum of 2 years current inpatient psychiatric experience.
- Previous / current training in non-violent crisis intervention techniques and / or CPI.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Mental Health Reform.
- Certification in Psychiatric nursing preferred.
- Applied Suicide Intervention Training (ASIST) within the past 5 years.
- Member of RNAO preferred.
- Satisfactory attendance.
