Our Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate must have the ability to lead a design team, and supervise and coordinate the activity of other engineers and project team members.
Mentorship of new and junior employees is a key part of this role and our organization. You will also continually foster and grow strong relationships with our clients.
A Day in the Life
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for the design and construction engineering of resource bridge and culvert projects in the public and private sectors.
You will have extensive knowledge of resource bridge design, evaluation, inspections, specifications, and construction engineering.
Business development, budgeting, and project management will complement your technical expertise.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a structural concentration
- Alberta Transportation (AT) Class A and Class B Bridge Inspection Certifications will be considered a strong asset
- Registered (or eligible for registration) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta
- 5 or more years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in bridge assessment, bridge planning, bridge load evaluation and culvert sizing
- Strong working knowledge with the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CAN / CSA-S6) and the Canadian Foundation Engineering Manual
- Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) and proven ability to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environment
- Technical competence and strong attention to detail
- Proven leadership and mentoring ability.
