Summary / Objective :

The Hydro Blast Technician will perform a wide range of physical activities that require strength and flexibility of whole body for handling, positioning, moving, and manipulating equipment and materials, emergency response, vacuum truck operations, waste disposal, site remediation and high-pressure water blasting.

Responsibilities :

  • Operate and set-up all necessary cleaning equipment such as high-pressure pumps, in service line hydro-blasting, and vacuum), in accordance with operational and training and guidelines and safety procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear.
  • Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and heavy industrial settings.
  • Manually clean, install, fit & repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and all other external and internal equipment on tanks.
  • Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps, and general work area prior to starting any job. Inform supervisor of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries, or lost productivity.

Qualifications :

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be capable of passing a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Driver’s license or State issued I.D. MUST BE VALID.
  • Understand and follows verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic Safety Training Skills.
  • Hydro blasting or pressure cleaning experience required.
  • General labor experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements :

  • Physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned.
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Physically capable of standing and / or walking continuously for long periods of time if necessary.
  • Physically capable of climbing, balance, bend / stoop, and kneel continuously.
