Ourclient a dynamic public practice accounting firm in Kelowna BC ison the lookout for a skilled Senior Accountant with three to fiveyears of experience to join their expanding team.
As the firm hasgrown significantly in recent years they now support a diverserange of clients across industries including professional servicesmanufacturing construction restaurants retail automotive andagriculture.
Forthis position responsibilities will vary but willinclude :
- Preparationof compilation and reviewengagements;
- Preparationof corporate personal and trust taxreturns;
- Insome cases conducting fullcycle bookkeeping including preparationof GST PST WCB returns;and
- Workingclosely with the team to assist clients with their accounting andtax planningneeds.
Asthe successful candidate you are a proactive and motivatedprofessional with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectivelywithin a team.
Your strong communication skills and commitment tooperational excellence will be crucial to your success in thisrole. This position is fulltime;
however we are open to consideringcandidates who initially require flexible hours with the potentialto transition to a fulltime schedule overtime.
Requirements
- 3or moreyears of accounting experience including preparation of compilationengagements corporate and personal taxreturns;
- Experiencein review engagements is not necessarily required but it would beconsidered anasset.
- Accountingdiploma and / or a combination of education and experience will beconsidered; a professional accounting designation is notrequired;
- Proficiencyin accounting software and tools such as Sage QuickBooks CaseWareand Profileor other taxsoftware;
- Strongcomputer literacy including MS Office Suite; exceptional Excelskills;
- Excellentcommunication skills and problemsolvingabilities;
- Theability to handle data with confidentiality andintegrity;
- Strongorganizational and time management skills with the ability toprioritize taskseffectively;
- Excellentattention to detail accuracy and analytical thinking with apositivedisposition;
- Abilityto work independently and collaboratively within a teamenvironment;
- Stronginterpersonal and multitaskingskills.
Inaddition to a robust benefits package the base salary for thisposition is anticipated to be $70000 $78000 annually and will bedetermined based on experience and qualifications.
