Our Client :
This Canadian Retail Company is looking to add a hands-on IT Manager for a full-time permanent position.
Responsibilities :
Manage and oversee the installation, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of IT
Infrastructure including network devices, servers, POS systems, software applications and
IT equipment.
Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of IT systems to support current operations
and future growth.
Conduct regular assessments to identify and mitigate IT-related risks and vulnerabilities as
well as keep technology infrastructure up-to-date.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices related to IT
and data management.
Manage and maintain the current IT infrastructure (which includes, but is not limited to
computer hardware, software, networks, and security systems).
Ensure that the company’s IT infrastructure is operating smoothly by minimizing system
and user downtime and enabling them to work at maximum efficiency.
Be the internal expert on NCR Counterpoint and provide the first level of technical support
and troubleshooting assistance to various departments to improve efficiency and
productivity.
Problem-solve, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to POS / ERP systems, hardware,
and software applications in a timely and efficient manner.
Coordinate and collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers (Apps on Net,
RMS, Dell) whenever necessary, and escalate major issues (resolved or unresolved) to the
DoO.
Collaborate with the E-commerce team to maintain and optimize the performance of the
company’s online platform.
Implement Project Management tools and techniques to propose, plan, and execute IT
projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Create and maintain a high-quality operations manual with IT policies and procedures.
Provide IT training to the necessary team members.
Continuous Improvement. Research and identify new technologies, systems, and processes
to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of IT Infrastructure and Operations, with a
focus on automation and reducing waste .
Develop KPIs for the IT department to track and measure progress and performance on an
easy-to-read dashboard.
Stay on top of industry news and trends pertaining to the IT and retail industry to
implement insights relevant to the company’s strategic initiatives.
Research and identify potential vendors in alignment with the Company's vision and
growth.
Requirements :
Post-secondary education preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s
degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a similar role, preferably in the
retail or beauty industry.
Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and security best practices.
Experience with ERP systems, POS systems, and e-commerce platforms is highly desirable.
Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
Relevant certifications like PMP are an asset.
Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace preferred
Ability to listen actively, extract important information, and analyze information from
Managers
G2 license and access to a reliable car.
