Part-Time | Weekends

Shaughnessy Seniors Care Community is a warm, vibrant home where residents, families, and staff feel welcomed and supported. We are looking for a friendly, polished, and proactive Weekend Admin Assistant / Concierge  to be the first point of contact for our community. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in an environment where every interaction truly matters.

About the Role

As the Weekend Admin Assistant / Concierge, you are the heart of Shaughnessy on Saturdays and Sundays. You’ll greet visitors with warmth, support residents and families with compassion, and ensure the smooth flow of daily administrative operations. Your presence helps create a positive, organized, and reassuring atmosphere for everyone who walks through our doors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a welcoming, professional reception experience  for residents, families, visitors, and staff.
  • Answer incoming calls and emails; direct inquiries promptly and courteously.
  • Manage visitor sign-in processes and ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
  • Support weekend administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, updating logs, and preparing documents.
  • Assist residents and families with general questions, directions, and requests.
  • Coordinate with care staff and the Site Leader / designate to relay messages and support daily operational needs.
  • Maintain a tidy, inviting reception and lobby area.
  • Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and Park Place’s STRIVE values in all interactions.

What You Bring

  • A friendly, calm, and polished customer-service approach.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Comfort using phones, email, and basic Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in reception, hospitality, or administrative roles is an asset—especially in seniors’ care or healthcare environments.
  • Ability to problem-solve and handle sensitive situations with tact and empathy.
