Build a best-in-class Product Design practice and implement transformative changes that drive lasting impact

As the Director of Product Design, you will drive the design vision and execution, playing a critical role in differentiating Coveo’s product in a competitive market. In this role, you'll report to the SVP Products and collaborate closely with product management and engineering leaders to meet strategic objectives across all Coveo products.

Your leadership will be crucial in modernizing and elevating the product experience, tackling complex challenges, and delivering significant outcomes through design excellence.

What your impact will translate into :

  • Representing the design practice and showcasing the value of user centric product experiences at senior leadership level.
  • Elevating, defining and standardizing design quality standards across the organization.
  • Implementing advanced user research methodologies and iterative design processes to drive product evolution, as well as increase conversion, usability and engagement rates.
  • Driving the comprehensive adoption of a design system to reduce usability issues and ensure high-quality outcomes. By streamlining workflows, you'll create a scalable, adaptable framework that enables faster iterations, aligns with evolving user needs, and keeps our design process robust and future-proof.
  • Driving continuous improvement and design excellence to support key metrics for product effectiveness, by integrating design thinking practices and facilitating relevant workshops.
  • Empowering the team to confidently explore new customer problems, innovate, and implement solutions quickly. By fostering accountability, decisive action, and alignment with a forward-looking design vision, you will cultivate a flexible, resilient team ready to tackle future challenges.

What will qualify you for the role :

  • 5+ years of experience managing design teams and 10+ years of experience in product design, crafting exceptional user experiences and demonstrating significant industry impact, supported by a robust portfolio or case studies. Relevant higher education design-related degrees are a strong asset.
  • Proven leadership in shaping a standout product experience and building a successful UX team that is committed to advocating for designs grounded in user needs, rigorously tested, and fastly iterated.
  • An exceptional capacity to influence and build strong relationships across the organization. Your self determination and drive allow you to secure buy-in from the most skeptical of stakeholders.
  • What would make you stand out :

  • You have a profound understanding of engineering-driven environments and product management practices. That allows you to translate complex concepts into simple, intuitive solutions and contribute to product roadmap decisions.

    This role requires you to be in the office full-time, whether it be at our Quebec, Montreal, Weert, or London locations. Our modern infrastructures are designed to enhance cross-team collaboration and promote overall well-being.

    Our offices in Quebec City, Montreal, London and Weert are designed to foster collaboration and your well-being. We gather there on our pillar days two times a week to strengthen in-person interactions and encourage creativity, all while providing you with the flexibility of a hybrid environment.
