Project Manager :

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, planning, execution, control and completion of projects. The Project Manager will oversee the efforts of a cross-functional team, third-party contractors and consultants in order to deliver projects on time, on budget and meeting all contractual requirements.

General Duties : Provide preliminary project plans that assist the business development team in the landing of new contracts.

Work closely with functional managers to develop detailed project plans including, schedule, cost, risk, quality and scope.

Create project baseline and tracks progress against the baseline to ensure scope is delivered on time.Coordination of personnel and resources required to successfully complete project.

Interface directly with customers as the central point of contact to ensure the timely dissemination of information to and from the project team.

Creates project related document deliverables.Interfaces with senior management on progress and issues related to the execution of projectsHolds regular project status review meetings and gate review meetings.

Works closely with the project team to develop creative solutions when problems happen.Developing relationships with clients / consultant personnel that foster long term business ties.

Assisting in evaluating and assessing project KPIs.Assists in the development of Project Management best practices as required.

Some International travel will be required.

Special Skill Requirements : Strong interpersonal skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Must be able to work in a client facing environment.

Must be comfortable interfacing with all teams within the company and able to develop strong business relationships at all levels.

Must be detail oriented.Must possess excellent time management skills.Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Energetic, self-motivated, and results-oriented.

Work Experience Requirements : Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience.Proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity tools (Excel, Word, Outlook.

Proficiency in MSProject.Direct experience in Mass Transit or Lighting an asset.

Education : Post-secondary Degree (Business or Engineering preferred.)PMP designation is highly desirable.
