About the Role
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you are the engine of our outbound sales team, helping to educate potential customers and continue the explosive growth we have achieved over the past several years. This is a critical role in our sales organization. You will focus on booking qualified meetings for our Account Executives by cold calling prospective customers. Quota is based on the number of qualified demos from opportunities you set.
Key responsibilities :
Introduce potential customers to WellnessLiving via cold call, explaining how our software will help their business attract, convert, and retain clients.Generate qualified opportunities for our Account Executives.Become an expert in prospecting, identifying decision makers, and uncovering areas WellnessLiving can help.Own your book of business, managing your pipeline, opportunities, and day‑to‑day activities in Salesforce.Onboarding & Expectations
First Month :
Complete BDR‑specific onboarding led by management and peers.Spend time learning best practices and different styles within the organization.Develop the skills needed to be a top‑performing BDR through role plays, call reviews, and making your first calls.Work towards a goal of 2 qualified demos in your first month.Second Month :
Continue developing sales skills with guidance from manager and training team.Target 100 outbound calls a day, leveraging peer structures.
Work towards a goal of 5 qualified demos in your second month.Third Month :
Refine day‑to‑day process and target 100 calls per day.Gain clear understanding of our software, handling objections, and managing Salesforce.Achieve a ramp quota of 16 meetings set and 9 sales‑accepted qualified leads for the month.Skills & Qualifications
A desire to start or continue a career in software sales.Personable, friendly demeanor and determination to present oneself effectively when interacting with teammates or potential customers.Enthusiasm for joining a rapidly growing and collaborative team, contributing to collective learning.Entrepreneurial spirit, comfortable working autonomously, focusing on continuous development, and applying feedback.Commitment to owning day‑to‑day processes, actively participating in skill and career development, and persevering through challenges.Excitement to join a quickly growing and collaborative team, learning from and supporting teammates and sales trainers.Bonus Points
Prior sales experience regardless of industry.Experience in a direct customer‑facing role (server, teacher, retail, customer service, etc.).Background in the health, wellness, or fitness industry.Competitive sports background with a demonstrated leadership role.Interview Process
