Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Manager, Surveillance, this position is responsible for monitoring the day-to-day activities of Surveillance Officers at the site level as well as monitoring interior and exterior areas of a property by closed circuit television cameras.

Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities

  • Monitors Surveillance Operators; verifies timesheets; provides input for performance evaluations
  • Monitors, documents and reports violations, large cash / cash equivalent transactions, excluded and self-excluded guests and unauthorized access
  • Maintains logs; prepares daily reports; stores records securely for evidence purposes
  • Monitors, documents and reports on the condition of surveillance facilities and equipment; performs preventative maintenance on equipment as required
  • Trains new team members
  • Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Builds strong working relation ships with guests and team members
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Manages other incentives as required

Education and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Post secondary education in criminology or a suitable combination of education and experience an asset
  • Minimum 2 years of surveillance or security experience; minimum 1 year of supervisory experience; gaming experience preferred
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication

Work Environment Considerations

Secure back office environment, sitting for long periods of time, watching footage for long periods of time, non-traditional work hours
