Access Automotive has been in business since 1980. With new ownership taken over in 2020, we are looking for a full time mechanic that is certified to join our growing team and to help us continue to serve Napanee area. We are a small, family run business (husband and wife), we specialize in maintenance, and repairs and feature Valvoline as our main oil supplier. We are also parented with Napa Auto Pro to ensure we can give our customers not only the best service, but the best coverage. We are usually always booking at least 2 weeks out in advance and we are one of the more technologically advanced repair facilites in Napanee. We have a Hunter Alignment Machine, top of the line Hunter Road Force Balancer and a Hunter automatic tire machine, we have a programming tool so other shops including ourselves don't have to go to the manufacturer for programming or for these other services and are starting to really get into using a picoscope for diagnostics- we can do it all in house and come recommend by other shops that can't figure out the problem. There is always lots to do and now that people know we are reopened with such high tech diagnostic equipment, our work flow is getting quite heavy. Here is a bit of description of what we expect you to be able to do by applying with us.

• Perform maintenance and repair on customer vehicles. (at the bare minimum, brakes, oil changes, tires changes, tire repairs, changing steering and suspension components, noise complaints )
• Identify problems with vehicles using the diagnostic equipment
• Read and comprehend service information online
• Identify automotive repairs and issues and provide the next steps to repair so the service advisor can price it out quickly and confidently.
• We are the only shop in town that does big jobs and we have become the go to shop for engine rebuilds, transmission r&r, clutch jobs, subframe replacement and hard to diagnose electrical issues etc.
• Plan repair procedures using charts manuals and experience (look up tsbs and recalls)- we have four different softwares you can pull information from (Identafix, all data, mitchell and tekmetric)
• Test the functionality of parts and systems
• Perform routine maintenance and general mechanic work on vehicles.
• Prepared to get additional certification as needed.
• Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
• Help keep repair shop clean and organized.
• Keep a professional appearance (uniforms are provided).
• Have a great attitude
• Third year apprentice welcomed- you need to be ready to write your test, we pay our guys very good and we need maturity and responsibility in our work place.
