Job Description:
Our client in the healthcare space is growing and looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong understanding of GAAP, skills in managing all aspects of company’s books and records, have working knowledge of ERP systems (QuickBooks preferred) as well as be proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel/World/Outlook).
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant is as follows but not limited to:
- Assist with accounting of company’s financial transactions in accordance with GAAP (ASPE).
- Record various journal entries.
- Assist with daily and month-end accounting processes such as balance sheet account reconciliations, including intercompany accounts, accruals, asset amortizations, etc.
- Perform bank deposits.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
- Maintain various accounting schedules (Prepaids, Accruals, Fixed Assets, etc.).
- Assist with preparation of monthly Financial Statements.
- Assist with system implementations and integrations.
- Suggest and help implementing financial process improvements.
- Perform other/add-hoc office and accounting administration tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in accounting preferably in multi-entity environment.
- Degree or diploma in Accounting is required, CPA (or working towards CPA) is preferred.
- Prior experience with full cycle accounting.
- Experience with ERP systems is required, knowledge of NetSuite is an asset.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel/World/Outlook and other office software (Test for excel is part of the recruitment process).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment with positive attitude.
- Desire and ability to learn new skills and acquire new knowledge.
