Solution Architect (ID#4680)

New Value Solutions (NVS), a national IT recruitment firm, is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to support a major education-focused organization.

The successful candidate will be part of a large initiative aimed at transitioning the K-12 curriculum from print to digital format through the development of a new educational platform.

The successful candidate will provide solution architecture services for an agile, cloud-native project, working with AWS and micro-services architecture.

The role will be pivotal in creating student-centered and competency-focused digital curriculum systems.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and manage the adaptation process for a well-informed cloud strategy.
• Provide architectural, software development, and maintenance services for the new and related applications in an agile environment.
• Deliver architectural and development services utilizing Amazon AWS cloud platform and potentially Microsoft Azure.
• Architect and develop cloud-based serverless applications, utilizing C#, .Net, NoSQL databases (AWS Dynamo DB), and VS Code.
• Build front-end architectures using technologies like JavaScript, SCSS, HTML, Angular, Typescript, and Material Design.
• Apply state management solutions using NGXS, NGRX, and Redux.
• Provide architectural and development services for legacy applications, including building, testing, and deploying n-tier, object-oriented solutions using C#, .

Net, IIS, MS SQL Server, and Visual Studio.

• Ensure applications’ responsiveness, scalability, and stability.
• Oversee the quality of software development, including managing and conducting code and peer reviews.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs.
• Utilize and design continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) tools.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical designs.
• Provide architectural leadership, direction, and mentoring to the development team.
• Write and manage effective unit and automation tests.
• Perform ongoing research on new technologies to ensure applications remain up-to-date with industry practices.

Requirements :

• Strong experience architecting serverless cloud-native applications using AWS.
• Extensive experience designing micro-services-based applications.
• Expertise in JavaScript frameworks such as Angular (2.0 or higher) and React.
• Proven experience in technical leadership roles on education-related projects.
• Knowledge and experience with NoSQL databases.
• Ability to work in an agile environment with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
