IT Business Partner

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Business Partner for a 12 month contract with a likelihood of extensions. This is a hybrid opportunity, with the expectation to work on site 2-3 days a week in Calgary. A successful candidate will have extensive experience working as a Business Partner, specifically within commercial or major projects environments, and will have experience working in oil and gas. The Senior IT BP will be a critical liaison between the business and IT, guiding project delivery, managing business prioritization, and ensuring investments are purposeful and impactful. With a forward-looking mindset, the Senior IT BP will proactively identify risks and opportunities, championing continuous improvement across the enterprise.

Skills and Requirements

• 10+ years' experience working as a Business Partner
• Extensive experience working in oil and gas
• Experience working in a commercial or major projects environment
• Documentation experience
• Familiarity with information security and cyber security.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and IT-business alignment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint and Visio
• Prior experience with communications technologies, storage technologies and server technologies.
• BRMP certification or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or Business is required. - Certifications in PMP, Prosci Change Management, BRMP, CPBRM, IT foundations, SCRUM, or ITIL is considered an asset.
• Training in BRM, CBRM, and BRMP is preferred.
