The Opportunity : WSP is currently seeking a highly motivated Junior Materials Technician to join our Ground Engineering and Materials Team based Prince George, BC . This position is available in our Prince George office and laboratory. As a Junior Materials Technician, you will join our highly successful team, using your skills to assist in the management and execution of various high-profile and critical projects throughout British Columbia and Yukon.

• Leading and performing material testing field assignments, including soil and concrete testing works both locally in Prince George, and regionally throughout BC and the Yukon.
• Performing tests in our Prince George materials laboratory, including our soil and concrete testing regime, and test results reporting.
• Collaborating with our wider team of technicians and engineers to provide technical services in a field and laboratory environment related to geotechnical engineering.
• Participating and contributing to a team environment and being a strong communicator.
• Promoting strong workplace health and safety practices.
