Responsibilities
- Support and contribute to a high‑quality, client‑focused MEP engineering team, helping advance design practices toward industry best standards.
- Manage mechanical engineering scopes across multiple projects from initial design through on‑site contract administration.
- Design HVAC, plumbing, and related mechanical building systems for educational, commercial, industrial, and healthcare facilities.
- Prepare mechanical and plumbing drawings, construction details, and specifications within a BIM environment, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.
- Apply strong communication skills, attention to detail, and professional judgment in a fast‑paced, supportive environment.
- Organize and manage technical aspects of projects with a high level of accountability and self‑motivation.
Required Skills & Experience
Advanced proficiency in Revit, BIM, and AutoCAD (latest versions).Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Solid understanding of the Ontario Building Code, building science, and construction detailing related to HVAC, plumbing, fire safety, and hydronic systems.Assets
Experience using SolidWorks and preparing shop drawings.Familiarity with green building design, energy modeling, and energy audits.Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.Growth Opportunity

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.Ontario‑licensed P.Eng. or EIT, or equivalent, in good standing.Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering design for buildings (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection), preferably within a consulting environment.Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including OBC, ASHRAE, and NFPA.Experience producing 3D models and 2D drawings using Revit and AutoCAD in a BIM environment.Experience with load calculation and HVAC sizing software such as HAP or Revit MEP.General understanding of all phases of project documentation and the relationship between drawings and specifications.Field experience conducting site reviews, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications, and preparing reports.Strong organizational, planning, and time‑management skills with the ability to meet project budgets and schedules.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong commitment to quality, accuracy, teamwork, and technical excellence.Travel
Occasional travel to job sites (approximately 15%).Additional Information
