Teranet is currently looking for a Cloud Security Specialist. You will be responsible for assisting Teranet in the adoption, ongoing management, and protection of workloads within Cloud infrastructure. You will work with a broader team to help introduce these technologies to Teranet with a focus on ensuring adherence to security best practices.
You should be knowledgeable in cloud security best practices, use of cloud-native scripting language, and incident response within cloud-based environments. You will also be responsible for assisting the security operations team in the transition to a cloud-based infrastructure, including providing guidance and training sessions for new concepts. You will participate in on-call rotation to handle Incident Response and operational activities as required. You are a strong communicator and can work with cross functional teams.
We are looking for :
Strong expertise in Cloud Security principles with the ability to apply those principles to Microsoft Azure
Knowledge and experience in the use of security controls within Microsoft Azure (incl. Defender, Event Hub, Azure Policy, etc.)
Experience in leveraging automation languages within Microsoft Azure to apply custom rulesets and facilitate deployment of new security controls across Azure infrastructure, including the ability to leverage SDLC practices for deployment of automation
Ability to work with groups ranging from application development to infrastructure teams to apply security best practices in a cloud based infrastructure
Strong awareness of compliance requirements in-relation to cloud deployments with the ability to help meet those requirements
Able to train others within the security program to assist in the adoption of cloud based technologies and principles
Good understanding of traditional on-premise infrastructure with the ability to apply Security best practices to those environments
Experience in drafting and maintaining playbooks and support documentation, with a particular focus on cloud-based documentation
Extensive experience in leading and resolving incidents within an Enterprise environment
Efficient at researching the latest security threats and vulnerabilities related to cloud technologies and applying this information to proactively protect company assets
Experience of SIEM, Endpoint Detection and Response, SOAR capabilities
Strong technical expertise and ability to quickly learn new technologies as well as be able to utilize unfamiliar technology to apply best practices and respond to incidents
About You
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline
5 years of experience working in the IT field
2 years of experience in cloud network design / management, security, identity and access management, DNS, etc.
Hands-on experience with some of the core Azure Data Platform services
Proven ability to learning modern technologies and techniques and apply them
Highly self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
Expert knowledge in designing and deploying scalable, redundant hybrid networks of on- premise datacenters and azure.
Knowledge and experience on BGP routing, Firewall policy, and layer 7 load balancing.
Experiences on Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco Nexus, and F5 Big-IP are assets
Basic coding to enhance network visibility and automation for both on-premises and azure cloud network infrastructures.
Knowledge on developing infrastructure as code and technical writing / documentation
Basic understanding of PCI and other security control methodology for security audits and vulnerability assessments.
