Description
In alignment with our values of collaboration and integrity, we are looking for a positive and energetic Accountant to support the success of our organization. This position reports to the Finance Director and offers a fantastic opportunity to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities/Challenges:
- Validate T&C for revenue contracts; set-up revenue contracts and financial projects in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP); coordination of invoicing; preparation of government claims;
- Reconcile general ledger accounts;
- Participate in forecasting and budgeting process;
- Participate in month-end processes;
- Active participation in year-end audit process;
- Validation and documentation of internal controls, improvements implementation;
- Be involved in streamlining and improving processes;
- Execute electronic funds transfer (EFT) runs and wire payments as per the schedule (back-up role);
- Prepare and remit sales taxes (back-up role);
- Other ad-hoc tasks;
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external
stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- University Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field;
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
- Professional accounting designation or in the process of obtaining it (CPA);
- Knowledge of Accounting Principles;
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as Netsuite (an important asset);
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookup);
- Documentation of process experience;
Skills:
- Highly oriented towards Teamwork
- Fluency in French and fluency in English (spoken and written) is required for collaboration with our teams and member companies located across Canada;
- Interest and capability for software use;
- Exceptional organization and time management;
- Exhibits leadership and problem-solving qualities.
