Thompson Construction Group has an immediate opening for a full-time Onboarding Coordinator at our Spruce Grove office. This is a temporary maternity leave coverage role supporting onboarding requirements and employee mobilization to site.
Responsibilities :
- Coordinate and manage onboarding requirements for new hires to ensure readiness prior to mobilization to site
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires and ensure onboarding expectations, timelines, and requirements are clearly communicated
- Distribute onboarding and information packages and provide guidance as required
- Track, verify, and follow up on completion of all required documentation and courses
- Ensure onboarding requirements are completed accurately and within required timeframes
- Coordinate flights, accommodations, and mobilization logistics to support operational schedules
- Communicate travel details, changes, and mobilization instructions to employees in a timely manner
- Liaise with internal teams to support accommodation planning and workforce mobilization
- Maintain accurate onboarding and mobilization records and tracking tools
- Identify onboarding or mobilization issues and escalate as required to prevent delays
Qualifications
Office Administration certificate or similar education considered an asset2–5 years of experience in an administrative or coordination role, preferably within a construction, oil & gas or industrial environmentExperience supporting onboarding, mobilization, or workforce logistics is an assetStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesHigh attention to detail and accuracyClear written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Ability to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as requiredAdditional Information :
