I am currently recruiting for one of my clients, a manufacturing company based in Laval, for the position of Maintenance Supervisor.

Your Role

Main Responsibilities :

  • Supervise a maintenance team
  • Plan and organize the team's work according to production priorities and plant needs.
  • Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of industrial equipment and production facilities.
  • Analyze technical failures and intervene quickly to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
  • Implement continuous improvement projects to increase equipment efficiency, safety, and performance.
  • Oversee spare parts management and participate in purchasing decisions, collaborating with suppliers to ensure critical parts are always available.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality regulations in the chemical industry.
  • Train and mentor team members, ensuring their professional growth and safety within the team.
  • Participate in budget planning and track maintenance-related costs.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as production and engineering, to ensure smooth operations and achievement of objectives.

  • Technical expertise in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems.

  • Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple priorities at once.
  • Effective communication skills to manage and motivate a diverse team
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Your Profile :

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role in an industrial setting.
  • Technical education : DEC or AEC in mechanical, electromechanical engineering, or industrial maintenance (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience managing teams, preferably in continuous production environments.
  • Advanced knowledge in mechanics, electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Experience in continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) is an asset.
  • Class C License, an asset.
  • Working Conditions :

  • Location : Laval
  • Permanent position, 40 hours / week
  • Salary : 85k$ - 95k$
  • Comprehensive insurance paid 50% by the employer
  • Paid vacation negotiable based on experience
