Junior Accountant - Vancouver
Position Summary :
Our client is seeking a skilled Junior Accountant to join their Finance team. This role focuses on various accounting tasks including accounts payable, month-end closing, various reconciliations, as well as payroll assistance.
The ideal candidate has experience working in payroll, assisting with accounts receivable and payable and is proficient in either QuickBooks or Xero.
Key Responsibilities :
- Bookkeeping : Manage and process payable transactions, ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices, maintain vendor records, and handle vendor inquiries.
- Automation : Identify opportunities for automation within accounts payable and collaborate with other departments to implement solutions.
- Accounts Receivable : Assist in managing transactions, ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices, maintain accurate records, and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Month-End Close : Prepare and post journal entries, oversee various reconciliations, and assist in preparing management reports.
- Payroll Assistance : Ensure the accuracy and completeness of payroll records and oversee project timesheets.
Experience & Qualifications :
- Education : Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Experience : 1-2 years of bookkeeping in a multi-currency environment.
- Software Proficiency : Xero / QuickBooks Online preferred; expertise with Excel.
- Additional Skills : Experience with payroll is an asset.

Annual compensation of $55,000 to $75,000 based on experience.
