What will you do?

Respond to and Resolve Help Requests :

Prioritize and respond to help requests from end-users, ensuring timely resolution in accordance with Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets.

Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on computers, accessories, telecommunications devices, and network infrastructure.

Provide technical support and guidance to end-users via phone, email, or in person, addressing their concerns effectively.

Installation, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting :

Conduct installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computers, accessories, telecommunications devices, and network hardware and software.

Administer local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN), including configuration and optimization of network components.

Manage and maintain wireless infrastructures, ensuring optimal performance and security.

Perform server installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance tasks.

Create and manage user accounts across various systems and platforms.

Training Program Development :

Collaborate with relevant departments to develop and provide training programs for devices and services offered by the organization.

Conduct training sessions for end-users to enhance their understanding and utilization of IT resources.

Computer Network Administrative / Security Tasks :

Manage user account and file system permissions, ensuring appropriate access levels and security.

Implement and enforce computer security restrictions and policies to protect organizational assets.

Assist the information security team in when performing security reviews, including vulnerability assessments, patch management, and intrusion detection.

Prepare documentation of network configurations, asset management, applications, and designs to maintain an up-to-date record of the IT environment.

Analyze system performance metrics to ensure SLA targets are met and identify areas for optimization.

Participate in the evaluation and testing of network changes prior to implementation to mitigate potential risks.

Grant and maintain authority to use network equipment and software, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Manage and monitor network backup systems and procedures to ensure data integrity and availability in case of failures or disasters.

What will you bring?

Must have computer science or engineering technology degree / diploma or equivalent.

Proficiency in administering Windows and Linux-based systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.).

Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.

Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.

Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), CompTIA Network+, etc.) are a plus.

Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or a similar role, with a minimum of 5 years in IT administration.

Experience with workstation / desktop installation, configuration, and user account management.

Experience supporting and troubleshooting computer systems, desktops, and peripherals.

Equipment support experience with PC’s, printers, and other related peripherals

Preferred skills include proficiency in Azure Active Directory (AD) management and Microsoft Intune for effective cloud-based identity and device management.
