Work environment

The work environment is in a centralized Mailing Facility with a client service counter. CR employees work a 75 hour bi-weekly schedule according to the hours of operation of the counter, Monday through Friday.

This position is located in a law enforcement environment which includes regular contact with uniformed and armed police officers.

Intent of the process

A qualified pool will be established and may be used for future temporary vacancies (including term or assignment).

Applicants are encouraged to apply ONLY if they are willing and able to work in Surrey, BC. All positions are located at Green Timbers Way, Surrey, BC.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

Education :

A secondary school diploma.

EXPERIENCE :

1.Recent* experience performing administrative duties in an office environment.

2.Recent* experience using Microsoft Word.

3.Recent* experience using Microsoft Excel.

4.Recent* experience using email software.

5.Experience in client services.

Recent is defined as the performance of duties within the past 24 months.

1.Recent* experience in handling mail in an office or mail room environment.

2.Experience processing incoming and outgoing mail in a centralized mail room environment.
