Resource Geology Manager

Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Resource Geology Manager to lead resource modelling, reconciliation, and compliance reporting for their underground mining operations. As the company scales its operations, this role ensures the integrity of resource estimates and supports strategic exploration efforts.

Based in Vancouver, this is a pivotal technical position shaping resource understanding across the portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the production and maintenance of mineral resource estimates for all assets
• Develop and manage grade control models to support production planning
• Coordinate with external consultants for NI 43-101 reporting compliance
• Lead monthly reconciliations between resource models and production outcomes
• Drive QA/QC protocols for site and external laboratory work
• Generate exploration targets in collaboration with geology and exploration teams
• Support internal audits and contribute to technical documentation

Requirements

• Degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or equivalent
• 10+ years experience in resource modelling and estimation, preferably underground
• Proficient in modelling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan, or preferred: WGS)
• Knowledge of NI 43-101 and related regulatory requirements
• Ability to interpret and integrate geological, assay, and production data
• Spanish language skills an asset
• Collaborative, detail-oriented, and experienced in technical oversight roles

Remuneration

Competitive salary with benefits. Target compensation in the $140,000 to $150,000 range.
