Warehouse Worker - Employé(e) d'Entrepôt
Location: Coteau-du-Lac, Quebec, Canada
Hourly base rate: $33.76 (effective January 1st 2026: $36.03)
Position Summary
Under minimum supervision, perform warehouse worker duties, requiring independent discretion, judgment, and a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures. Work both independently and as part of teams to support distribution centre operations.
Responsibilities
Replenishment
- Keep pick‑slots full; replenish line, flow racks, and bulk locations.
- Rotate inventory—crucial for freezer, cooler, and dry areas.
- Track all product movements physically and in the system.
- Place product in proper pick‑slots; never set off to the side.
- Take damaged product to the recoup area.
- Stay up‑to‑date on product changes, substitutions, and promotions.
Freezer/Cooler Selection
- Accurately select products for loading on company trailers.
- Ensure proper stop sequence and construction on all pallets/carts.
- Confirm loading of selected product is in its proper place on the trailer.
- Maintain load quality and reliability.
- Put away all returns at the end of the assigned shift.
Dry Selection
- Accurately select dry products for loading on company trailers.
- Ensure proper stop sequence and construction on all pallets.
- Confirm products are placed correctly on the trailer.
Receiving
- Accurately receive all inbound loads.
- Correct labeling issues to prevent errors.
- Collaborate with other receivers to direct put‑away team activities.
- Perform put‑away function as needed.
- Resolve any receiving issues before the shift ends.
Putaway
- Accurately put away all product.
- Place received product in reserve slots nearest pick location.
- Rotate product in racks before placing newer product.
- Break down loads to fit company racking as needed.
- Eliminate all put‑away errors; error file must be clean by shift end.
General Responsibilities
- Change batteries in equipment as needed.
- Evaluate work against quality standards.
- Keep work area clean at all times.
- Organize own work to maximize safety and efficiency.
- Identify and correct potentially unsafe situations.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Scope of Supervision and Authority
- Perform responsibilities with minimum supervision from the Warehouse Shift Supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with SFCR, GFSI, GWP, and GDP regulations.
- Complete additional projects or duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- Fluent in French.
- Must be able to work in a cold or freezer environment.
- Able to lift and move heavy boxes up to 55 lbs repeatedly.
- Warehouse experience in high‑volume, food‑service, distribution, logistics, or equivalent (asset).
- Forklift and electric pallet jack experience (asset).
- Team player with strong communication skills.
- Great work ethic, high initiative, self‑motivation, and positive attitude.
- Ability to multitask, manage time, and be detail‑oriented.
- Effective problem‑solving skills.
- Must pass a post‑offer background check.
