Carpenter's Helper

We are looking for an apprentice carpenter who will support our lead carpenters by performing physically demanding site preparation, handling materials, cleaning work areas, and operating tools under supervision. Key duties include measuring and cutting materials, building scaffolding, and ensuring safety, making it a hands-on, entry-level role crucial for construction, renovation, and framing projects.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Site Support : Prepare and clean construction sites, move materials, and erect / dismantle scaffolding, forms, and barricades.
• Material Handling : Load, unload, and transport materials like lumber, drywall, and tools, ensuring they are ready for the carpenter.
• Carpentry Assistance : Measure, cut, and shape wood or materials, and assist with framing, windows, and trim installation.
• Tool Maintenance : Clean, maintain, and secure tools and equipment, reporting any damages.
• Safety Compliance : Adhere to safety protocols, wear personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
• General Labor : Perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy materials, digging, and demolishing structures.
