What You’ll Do
- Works within and promotes established safety standards and practices
- Troubleshoots mechanical failures
- Repairs and rebuilds pumps
- Maintains conveyors and auger systems
- Demonstrates a strong team member attitude while being able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Recommends changes, modifications or upgrades of equipment to improve machine reliability and performance
- Reads equipment drawings and documents
- Documents work, modifications to equipment, etc.
- Communicates well both in writing and verbally
What You Bring
A high degree of mechanical competence supported by several years of mechanical experienceThe candidate must have a strong knowledge of the OHSA and other applicable safety standardsThe candidate must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within industrial maintenanceCreativity in problem solving is requiredThe candidate should have experience with coupling and coupling alignments, conveyors, safe rigging practices, hydraulics, cutting, grinding, and weldingGood communication skills, and able to work under time constraintsMust be adaptable, dependable and a self-starterThe candidate shall have good troubleshooting skills with good attention to detailThe person shall possess a demonstrated strong work ethicApplicant must have regular, punctual attendanceCandidate must demonstrate a strong sense of urgency in achieving resultsEducation and Experience
