Our client is a private senior home care located in the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia and is currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) to join our care team. As a Registered Nurse, you are responsible for delivering quality nursing care to patients with a focus on assessment, health education, disease prevention, and early intervention and support for chronic health conditions.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications to residents.
- Assess wounds and determine a course of treatment within the RN scope of practice.
- Supervise LPNs and CCAs.
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and maintain plans of care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician or according to established policies and protocols.
- Monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions.
- Operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment.
- May supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff.
- May develop and implement discharge planning process on admission of patients.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN) required.Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), preferably in the community home setting.#J-18808-Ljbffr
